Fill n Squeeze
Baby food pouches are probably the best thing for feeding baby on-the-go since instant formula in cartons. But pouches can get expensive, have to be thrown away after one use and then, of course, the food in them isn’t fresh-that-day or as good as the kind you can make at home. That’s why we really love Fill n Squeeze – which takes the baby food pouch idea and transforms it so you can use it with your own homemade baby food, yoghurt or smoothies.
Designed by mumpreneur, Rifat Jan, who knows exactly what it’s like to go through weaning her children while still trying to carry on a busy life, the Fill n Squeeze Pouch Filling Kit means you pop your homemade baby food in the cup, attach a pouch, push the plunger and hey presto, the food is instantly and easily dispensed into the pouch. Close the cap, pop it in your baby bag and you’re ready to feed baby when the next mealtime comes. Once mealtime’s over, the pouches can be washed in hot water ready for the next use. They’re also microwave, freezer and bottle warmer safe, and are 100% Bisphenol A free.
The Pouch Filling Kit is available from the Fill n Squeeze website for £19.99 but also available in the UK at Mothercare, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco and Argos among others, as well as internationally (check the website for stockists).
We also really love the nifty new item in the product range – the Squeezee spoon (£4.50) which attaches to most brands of baby food pouch – Ella’s Kitchen, Cow & Gate etc – to deliver an easy way of feeding. Because the spoon is attached to the pouch it means you can feed baby with one hand. What I also love about this spoon is its design means you can lay it down on a table without the spoon end coming into contact with the surface. The wide handle is easy to grip and is perfect for when your child can feed himself. The spoon is top-rack dishwasher safe too so it’s easy to keep clean. Check out the Fill n Squeeze website for more details.
